A little boy learns a lesson of love from the one hundredth Psalm
LOVE IS OUR SHEPHERD
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Billy was a little boy, and he attended the Christian Science Sunday School. One Sunday his teacher read from the Bible the one hundredth Psalm.
All the way home from Sunday School Billy thought about this Psalm. When his mother returned from church he said: "Mother, remember how you helped me with the twenty-third Psalm? Would you help me now with the one hundredth Psalm? We had that in our Sunday School class this morning."
So his mother began by telling him about the shepherds of Israel and how they tenderly cared for their sheep. She explained that sometimes as a shepherd walked along looking for green pastures and quiet waters, he carried a tired little lamb in his arms. And oftentimes he sang as he led his flock to their feeding place.
