Healings experienced during church service

Words seem inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science.

Some years ago my husband and I lost all our earthly possessions. For a diversion we would often take a walk and sit on a park bench which was directly in front of a Christian Science church. One Sunday we decided to go to this church. "Man's extremity is God's opportunity," it has been truly said. As the service progressed and it came to the moment of silent prayer, I glanced around at the faces: I thought I had never seen so many happy-looking people. I had been an atheist from childhood, but I thought, Could all these intelligent-looking people be wrong and I the only one right?

During that service I was healed of atheism, also of a physical ailment, although I did not realize that God had healed me until three months later when we went to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting.
