CONSECRATION NOT ISOLATION

Christianity is misrepresented, not glorified, by the notion that the more consecrated one is, the more separated he is from his fellow men. Such a notion, stemming from a false sense of piety, would, if it could, deceive the very elect. But deception on this point is not really possible.

Christ Jesus has made clear his desire that his followers be not isolated from others, but only from unchristian influences. In behalf of his disciples he appealed to his divine Father (John 17:15), "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."

And Christian Science, the Comforter Christ Jesus promised, has come to this age teaching and proving that (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 25) "The divinity of the Christ was made manifest in the humanity of Jesus."
