Happiness
Sir Angus Watson in an article in the Christian World, London, England
Happiness is a gift which can only be found in the realm of the spirit; it is an attitude of the soul, and always the fruit of self-descipline. Its spirit is akin to the richer word "blessedness," and it finds its roots in contentment.
Paul, who wrote, "I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content," found in that experience his happiness; yet there was never a life lived which was fuller of "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune." By all common human tests he should have been a disappointed man and a pessimist.
