Under Mind's unerring government man cannot make a mistake
DIVINE GUIDANCE
In our daily lives we are constantly having to make decisions of one kind or another, sometimes affecting only ourselves and again affecting many others. How important, in such cases, that we make the right choice! How can we gain the correct answer to our problems? To whom can we turn for guidance? We can turn to God.
In the Old Testament are many examples of prophet and patriarch turning to God for divine guidance, and we read in Proverbs (3:6), "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." On page 254 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy gives us a correlative statement. She writes, "When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously, He directs our path." Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, constantly sought through prayer and communion to know and to do the will of God. Similarly our Leader from her early childhood listened for and obeyed God's guidance.
Before we knew of Christian Science, the thought of having to make a decision may have caused some of us confusion and worry; and even when we had made our choice, we may have worried as to whether we had decided correctly. But upon taking up the study of Christian Science we find that worry and indecision are unnecessary, because we can seek and rely upon God's unerring guidance.
