Decrepitude disappears in spiritual rebirth

In taking inventory of the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science, I find that they have increased and multiplied over and over again during the past twenty-seven years. I can no longer remain silent, but must record, at least in part, what great things God has done for us and express my deep and sincere gratitude.

Through the prayerful reading of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of tuberculosis in its last stages after I had been given but a short time to live.

My brother was the first member of the family to witness the healing power of Truth and Love. He was seriously ill with blood poisoning, and a time had been set for the amputation of his leg. A neighbor brought him a copy of the textbook, and he read all afternoon. He be came so absorbed in what he was reading that quite unconsciously he got up and walked to another part of the house before he realized that he was standing up and using the leg which the doctors had a few hours before declared must come off. By evening all discoloration and swelling was gone. He was healed, and he knew it.
