COMMUNE WITH GOD

Vere Baillieu

Commune with God,
withdraw from life in matter,
wait on His Word—
He will direct your way.
Learn through His love
freedom from life in matter;
keep sacrosanct
the dawn hours of His day.

Commune with Him
and you will not feel lonely;
tell Him your heart
and you will grow in grace.
Be comforted,
but pray not for self only;
include the wide world
in your thought's embrace.
