Two children freed from hay fever

In Psalms we read (111:1): "Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation." I am grateful for the many blessings we have received through the glorious understanding of Truth as given to us in Christian Science. We have had healings of infantile paralysis, hay fever, influenza, scarlet fever, and sinus trouble, as well as many other difficulties.

One summer our eldest daughter was visiting friends. They called me one day to say that the child had hay fever. I was told that all the symptoms were present and that I could expect this complaint every succeeding year. They knew all about it because their son was a sufferer from the same disease. I immediately reversed the lie, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. We brought the child home, and a practitioner was called. I knew that in God's kingdom one need have expectations of good only. Although the healing took about two weeks to be accomplished, the condition was completely overcome.

A couple of years later, when our other daughter manifested the same symptoms, my clear understanding of the falsity of this ailment brought about a healing in two days. I reasoned that God makes all, and all that God has made is good. Therefore He could not create something which would cause suffering for His child, who is made in His own likeness.
