Reading of textbook heals constipation. Kidney disease also cured

It is from the depths of a very grateful heart that I offer this testimony. Christian Science lifted me out of a state of extreme nervousness and shyness. I can never say how grateful I am that I was able to accept this healing religion in its entirety. Through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of lifelong constipation and septic throat. The desire to take material remedies left me at the same time.

I have had many healings, including those of heart trouble, nervous breakdown, and abscesses in both ears. A broken anklebone was healed through my relying entirely on Christian Science treatment. I have been given the strength to take my stand for Science in the face of much opposition by a member of my family. I am grateful to say that I have been protected and have had the precious experience of class instruction. It is a great joy to me that our two daughters have the privilege of attending Sunday School.

About four years ago our younger daughter was examined by a doctor in accordance with the law of the land, for she was manifesting symptoms of a serious illness. Before the medical examination took place, treatment was given by a consecrated practitioner. The doctor pronounced the condition kidney disease, which he expected would turn to Bright's disease. He asked that the child's father, who was in the Army, be sent for, as he did not expect her to live. No medicine was given her.
