PREACHING BY PRACTICE

Spiritual healing is a powerful preacher. "The error of the ages is preaching without practice." So writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 241). Christian Science preaches with practice. All may learn its divine rules and thus preach in some measure through spiritual healing.

Christian Science never concedes to or compromises with error; it needs no arbitrator or referee. Gentle and persuasive, it translates for us the new tongue, the language of Love, through healing.

Healing is logical and irresistible, for it evidences the underlying wholeness and perfection of God and His idea, man. It is the effect of the acceptance by human thought of that which eternally is—spiritual harmony—and thus proves inharmony, that which humanly seems to be, nonexistent. It inspires gratitude and nourishes contentment.
