Christian Science has completely transformed my life. Through it I am able every day to experience peace and joy, as well as great gratitude for the goodness of our heavenly Father.

I was led to this Science almost twenty years ago, when my health was very bad. I had just seen a specialist, who thought that it would be necessary for me to have four or five operations, and that even then I would not have completely normal activity, because all my organs were out of place. Some days after this diagnosis a friend gave me the address of a Christian Science practitioner. I willingly consented to visit her, thinking that in my condition I might as well try anything. After explaining my physical difficulties to this woman, I told her that my life had been very difficult, that my duties had often called for great effort, and that the mental struggle had greatly weakened my constitution. She answered me simply: "Good can never bring evil. God is Love." Instantly I saw the light; I was convinced that it could not be otherwise. The next day I felt something being gently released, and afterwards realized that adhesions no longer bound the stomach to the abdominal wall. I was completely healed and was immediately able to lead an active life.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy I found what I had long desired, the answer to the vital questions of existence. As I had been raised without any form of religion, this was more important to me than the physical healing.
