Kansas newspaper editors have continued to manifest a friendly attitude toward our religion. During the past year, in spite of newsprint shortages, there has been a generous allotment of space to constructive news items and favorable comments regarding our religion.

The weekly Lesson-Sermon excerpts, which include the subject, Golden Text, and a short passage from the Bible with its correlative citation from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, are selected by Committees on Publication and supplied to the local newspapers to appear on the church pages with other religious news. These excerpts show the reader that ours is a practical religion, founded on the Bible, and that our textbook gives helpful and satisfying explanations of the Bible passages.
