One morning I awoke with acute pain in the pleural cavity and found it difficult to breathe. I applied my understanding of Christian Science, and each one in my family present at the time relied on Science to heal me. Within twenty-four hours I was free from pain and was able to make a sixty-mile journey by car in absolute comfort. The next day a heavy cough developed, and I could not speak clearly. I do not know how this condition would have been diagnosed, for no medical aid was sought, but it appeared to be an acute case of pleurisy. Throughout my life I have never had difficulty with coughs or colds, and I know that much of this has been due to the study of Christian Science. I am grateful I was able to prove that Science heals such conditions quickly and permanently, for in one week I was completely free.

I thank God for this healing and for many others which my family and I have received through absolute reliance on the spiritual truths contained in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I am grateful for the teachings of Christ Jesus, which inspired Mrs. Eddy to discover Christian Science and write this textbook, so that all may study and learn how God heals every disease and gives us the understanding whereby to protect ourselves from evil.—(Mrs.) Hilda Butzman, Chicago, Illinois.
