In Psalms (116:12, 14) we read: "What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? ... I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people." These verses express a little of my deep gratitude for Christian Science. It has helped me greatly in my daily life, and when applied sincerely and earnestly has never failed.

I have had many healings during the past twenty-two years. Acute neuritis, ptomaine poisoning, constipation of many years' standing, an irritation of the eyes, and many other difficulties have been overcome through Christian Science treatment.

Over a year ago I had another concrete proof of the power and efficacy of Truth to heal and save. I became involved in a serious motor accident, a head-on collision, and was severely injured. The upper part of my face and head had many deep cuts. From the first moment I was conscious of God's presence, and this resulted in a sense of peace and calm which protected me from the prevailing fears around me, such as of shock, considered serious to a woman of seventy, and exhaustion through loss of blood. I had very little pain or discomfort. Apart from stitches taken in a deep scalp wound, no material remedies were used. In a few weeks I was able to "lift up [my] face without spot" or blemish.
