MARY MAGDALENE

Weeping, yes, but following on,
Mary stayed, though many had gone;
She followed even to the cross,
Her heart protesting bitter loss.

Out of her thought in times gone past,
Were there not seven devils cast?
Could she forget or fail to see
The purpose of his ministry?

He spoke her name. What thoughts restored,
What new perception of her Lord,
When at his resurrection seen
Again by Mary Magdalene!

We may receive this healing too,
Perceive the Christ in all we do,
And in trial or disaster
Breathe aloud, "Rabboni ... Master."
