It is with great gratitude that I submit this testimony in the hope that it will help others as I have been helped.

For a considerable time I had been anxious to overcome astigmatism through the study of Christian Science. As I did not seem to be making any headway, I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner, which was lovingly given. Very soon after work was taken up I was able to discard glasses except when reading or using my eyes for close work. One day I went to the practitioner's office, and during the visit it was uncovered that I was condemning myself for having a human body, and the passage on page 218 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" by Mary Baker Eddy was pointed out to me, "Neither the Old nor the New Testament furnishes reasons or examples for the destruction of the human body, but for its restoration to life and health as the scientific proof of 'God with us.'" I left the practitioner's office entirely free from any sense of condemnation.

Two days later I was able to complete a day's work in the office without using glasses. A day or two after that I was asked to help in the typing of a very badly photostated document over which everyone had been struggling. I said I would take my turn, and I knew that my testing time had come. I sat quietly and knew that vision is spiritual, and that God would tell me what I had to type. I was able to finish the document without any effort and without the use of glasses, which I had worn for twelve years.
