SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER
God
, give me joy to welcome all
And greater strength than hardest rock;
A breastplate of unwavering patience,
And faith when error tries to mock.
Let gentle perseverance show
That Thy will waits to heal and bless,
And humbly offer Love's full cup
To every eager consciousness.
God, let me stand in Truth's clear light
And make my thought a ready tool
That Mind supplies with words I need
For teaching in the Sunday School.
