It is with a heart full of gratitude...
It is with a heart full of gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy that I write this testimony. That "man's extremity is God's opportunity" certainly was true in my case. I was like the woman in the Bible (Mark 5:26) who "had suffered many things of many physicians,... and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse."
Christian Science was presented to me by a medical nurse as a last resort, and although I knew absolutely nothing about it I decided to try it, for the doctors could do nothing more for me. I was suffering from bronchiectasis in the hemorrhage, or third, stage, which according to medical science is incurable. I had also suffered since early childhood from adhesions, pleurisy, insomnia, a nervous disorder, and indigestion. I was taking sulfa drugs, hypodermic injections, and all kinds of drugs for relief of intense pain.
