"God
requireth that which is past."
So leave with Him those tearful "might have beens."
Relinquish now those grieving memories
Ringed round with futile murmurs of regret.
Gently His hands remove the burden from our hearts—
The heavy load of past mistakes and sins.
In love He takes our barren yesterdays
And blesses them,
And leaves us unencumbered, strong and free
To tread the shining pathway of today.
Dorothy H. Stephens
