For many years I have been receiving encouragement and help from reading the testimonies in our periodicals, and it is indeed time that I acknowledge the blessings and healings that the study of Christian Science has brought to me.

This Science was presented to me several times when I was a young girl, but on each occasion I turned from it and from the friends who had accepted it. Later my husband became interested in this great truth, and although I saw that by it he was healed of severe catarrh, of the smoking habit, and of the need for constantly wearing glasses, I still refused to listen. It was not until our infant daughter was seriously ill and the doctor told us that he did not think the child could live, and said that if she did live she would always be an invalid, that I gladly turned to Christian Science for help. A practitioner was called, and in one week's time the child was completely healed. She had a healthy, happy childhood, and while in college successfully passed a necessary physical examination.

My gratitude for that first healing is still unbounded and also for the countless ones that have followed during the years. Neuritis which crippled me for several months, blood poisoning which an office physician stated would necessitate amputation, hay fever, and deafness are a few of the difficulties healed. More than this, I have learned to love God and to turn to Him in every time of need, and I have been healed of grief, loneliness, and a sense of separation from loved ones.
