After more than thirty years...

After more than thirty years of blessings and joy in Christian Science, I feel it is high time for me to give a written testimony. Truly words are inadequate to express my gratitude to God.

My first healing came when I was a young woman about to make a concert debut, Just three days before I was to appear before the New York public, after many years of preparation for the event, with my theater sold out, I lost my voice completely. I went to the three most renowned throat specialists in New York. All of them told me the same thing: I would never sing again! They called it rheumatism of the vocal cords. I was greatly disturbed.

A cousin came to see me and asked me to try Christian Science. I said, "I know nothing about it, but I will do anything to regain my voice." She took me to a practitioner, and in three weeks from the date of cancellation of my concert, I made a successful debut. Perhaps only a singer can understand the gratitude to God that welled in my heart.
