I write this testimony with the hope that it may help someone as I have so many times been helped and uplifted by reading the testimonies in our periodicals.

Nine years ago a physician told my parents that, as a result of a nervous breakdown, they could never expect me to be well and strong again. Slight progress was made under his care and through the great amount of love expressed by family and friends, but the difficulty returned repeatedly.

Two years before this experience I had asked a friend about Christian Science. At that time I bought the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and read the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. However, due to opposition in the home I was not persistent in studying and understood very little.
