THE LAW OF LOVE

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Biddy lived with her mother and daddy in the country, too far from a town for her to attend a Christian Science Sunday School. So every Sunday her mother read the Lesson-Sermon with her from the Christian Science Quarterly, and then they sang hymns together.

Adjoining their cottage was a beautiful apple orchard, and one of Biddy's great pleasures was to take a basketful of rosy apples to distribute among her schoolmates.

One day, when Biddy returned from school. Mother asked her whether she had given Janet an apple. Biddy replied: "No, Mummy. I only give them to my friends, and I don't care for Janet. No one does. She hasn't any friends."
