I have had many healings in Christian Science, and I wish to relate a few of them with the hope that someone else will be helped to find health and joy through the study and application of Christian Science as I have been.

My first healing was that of a blood trouble which all forms of medical treatment had failed to cure. I was completely and permanently healed in a few weeks by the work of a Christian Science practitioner. About ten years later, during an epidemic, I was healed of dengue fever in less than a week. On another occasion I was cured of a swollen and badly infected hand, and a few years ago I found complete and permanent freedom from an afflictive rectal disorder which many people believe can be corrected only by a surgical operation. However, spiritual means alone again proved adequate to meet my need. On still another occasion through Christian Science treatment I experienced the substantially painless extraction of a wisdom tooth without the use of any anesthetic. There were no unpleasant aftereffects, and that same day, upon leaving the dentist's office, I played eighteen holes of golf.

During the depression in the early nineteen thirties Christian Science sustained me during many financial troubles and enabled me to keep gainfully employed, although it was necessary for me to change jobs a number of times. Gradually Christian Science enabled me to pay all my debts, maintain my credit, and establish a business of my own.
