It was my mother's healing that led me to Christian Science. She had chronic stomach trouble, and the doctors, of whom there were many, told her there was no cure and that her time here was short. A friend invited her to attend a Christian Science Sunday morning church service. That afternoon, while she was reading the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, she was completely healed.

I was so pleased with her healing that I began to study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At that time I was suffering from neuralgia around the heart and could get only temporary relief. Just through reading the textbook I was healed so quickly that I did not realize until several years later that I was healed. I have also been healed of abscesses, a sprained foot, colds, pleurisy, shingles, and lack of work. Also I experienced no grief or thought of separation at the passing on of a dear one.

I am especially grateful for the healing of a severe breakdown. It was many months before the healing took place, and at times it seemed as if I could not rise above the condition. With the help of a practitioner I was finally lifted above and beyond the wilderness into the light, and I learned that joy and peace come only from God. Christian Science does prove that "now are we the sons of God" (I John 3:2).
