DETECT AND REJECT

God is the only Life and the only substance of man. He is the only Truth and Love there is for man to know. His spiritual laws, which Christian Science reveals, are available to be used and demonstrated in our daily lives. Nothing can keep us from gaining the true concept of Life and of Truth or from realizing the affluence of divine substance and the protection of infinite, all-inclusive Love.

God makes man spiritual. He bestows all good upon man and gives him dominion. In Genesis 1:26 we read, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

Christian Science teaches that it is through our failure to claim our rightful heritage as God's child that the erroneous suggestion of lack of good enters our human experience. Our need is to demonstrate the truth about God and man as revealed in Christian Science, and opportunities for such demonstration come hourly. We should be constantly alert to determine the source of our thoughts and actions, to see whether our thoughts derive from the all-harmonious divine Mind or from the erring and discordant so-called mortal mind.
