MAN'S REAL SELFHOOD

A friend once said to the writer: "Why should I become a Christian Scientist? I am quite satisfied with the religion in which I was brought up."

"But you found no healing efficacy in that religion, and you did find it in Christian Science. I recall that you were healed of a pretty bad condition," the writer replied.

"I admit that," was the response, "but Christian Science demands a great deal; and in order to become a Christian Scientist I would be expected to think of myself as being spiritual, while all the time I could not help knowing that I live in a material body. I just cannot do that."
