"The gift of God, which is in thee"
Edmonton Bulletin Alberta, Canada
"Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee," was the challenge given by St. Paul to one of his close followers. What this command means is that every Christian has talents and capacities which he must utilize for the glory God, the good of his fellow men, and the advancement of the Christian faith.
Many have responded to St. Paul's injunction by asking, "What can I do?" We may object that we have not the ability to preach the gospel, to teach others, or the strength or training to organize movements for the alleviation of social and economic evils that call for Christian action.
