Bless the Lord, O my soul: and...

"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, ... who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases" (Ps. 103:1-3). This prayer floods my heart every time I remember the many blessings that have come to me and to my family through the study of Christian Science.

As a young girl I came in contact with Christian Scientists for whom I had great respect, and my mother had an instantaneous healing of ptomaine poisoning, but even then I did not take up the study of the textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. Later, when I had married and had a little son suffering from whooping cough in its severest form, I remembered Christian Science and asked for help from a local practitioner. The result was speedy relief for the child, and I began attending church services and studying the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. That was twenty-six years ago, and since then Christian Science has been our only physician.

Our second son was born under conditions which, according to the laws laid down by materia medica, would have resulted fatally to the child, but, with the help of a practitioner, the birth was most harmonious. Later this baby was healed of a revere case of eczema.
