PRAYER AT BREAK OF DAY

Dear Father mine, who sheddest light
Upon my path this day,
That I may clearly see and know
Thy perfect way,

Thy truth enfolds me as in faith
I place my hand in Thine;
Thou kindest me at every step,
O Love divine.

Within the secret place I dwell
Alone with Thee, my God;
Thy holy spirit broods o'er me,
My staff and rod.

This ground is sacred where I tread.
Thy blessing, God I feel,
As I in deep humility
Before Thee kneel.

Thy living truth and perfect love
Respond to every call;
I thank Thee, Lord, for Thy great gift,
My All-in-all.
