"Maintain
the facts of Christian Science,—that Spirit is God, and therefore cannot be sick; that what is termed matter cannot be sick; that all causation is Mind, acting through spiritual law.
Dear
Lord, I prayNot only that I walkIn paths of righteousness today,But humbly do I askThat, as I go, I maySuch graciousness and joy expressThat others, too, may knowHow lovely are Thy paths, O Lord,Thy ways of righteousness.
In
Christian Science we are learning to cast all our thoughts into the scales of Spirit, God, good, and to place nothing in the scales of matter, evil.
Under
the title "Discipline" in the Manual of The Mother Church written by Mary Baker Eddy three daily duties are specified for every member of this church: "A Rule for Motives and Acts".
"Stand
upright on thy feet!"What Love—renewing, irresistible—Inspired Paul's words at Lystra to the one born lame; And flamed in those of Peter to the manWho, daily at the temple gate, sat begging alms,Not yet aware that he might enter inAnd claim his God-bestowed dominion for himself.
In
every issue of the Christian Science periodicals, the Journal, Sentinel, and Heralds, one will find pages carrying testimonies of spiritual healing.
The following statement came to us from one of our new members: "Experiences have proved overwhelmingly to me the vital part that membership in The Mother Church plays in an individual's progress from sense to Soul!"
Testimonies of healings brought about at authorized lectures on Christian Science will be published in The Christian Science Journal or the Christian Science Sentinel, when verified as are other testimonies appearing in the periodicals.
As a subscriber, you can download any Sentinel issue published within the last 90 days (PDF, eBook, and audio). You can also take a look inside each issue as it originally appeared in print, starting with the very first issue from 1898.
