REJOICE

Rejoice ! "Rejoice in the Lord alway:
and again I say, Rejoice."
This wise command awakens thought
to listen for God's voice,
which melts the earth and causes men
to cease the weary quest
for pleasure in material sense
and in His love find rest.

"Your names are written in heaven! Rejoice!
Rejoice!" the angel choir
sings louder, sweeter, as one's step
from sense to Soul mounts higher.
