Many years have passed since I became interested in Christian Science. During my girlhood I was considered delicate and susceptible to disease. It seemed necessary to keep in touch with our kind family physician and to take medicine and tonics constantly.
My mother gave me my first copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy before I left Chicago for California. It was thought that I might find in it comfort, since different churches which I had attended had failed to satisfy me.
I began to read the book, and within one month my world was entirely changed. Instead of depending on medicines and continuing to accept the belief that it is God's will to be sick and die, I learned that God is Love and that to know this is to live and be happy. At that time several discordant conditions were healed, and they have never returned. Through the years the study and application of our beloved Leader's writings have kept me in good health.
