So many blessing have come to me since I began an study of Christian Science that I wish to relate some of my experiences.

The healing which is outstanding in my experience took place while I was working in an eastern city during the recent war. I do not know the medical name of the difficulty, but my neck became so swollen I was unable to turn my head, and the flesh under both arms became so enlarged that I was unable to use them except to feed myself. A Christian Science practitioner was employed, and gradually the swollen places came to a head. Much fear was expressed by those around me, and I was constantly urged to have a doctor lance the affected parts. However, I had experienced many healings through Christian Science and realized that no operation is as efficient as that of divine Mind, and one by one the swollen places opened and drained without any material assistance.

My mother had come east to take care of me, and as soon as I was able to travel I accompanied her home, a distance of about one thousand miles, by train and car. The last two swollen places opened and drained during the journey. After I reached my mother's home I suffered severe pains in my legs, and for nearly a week I was unable to stand or walk. I asked for treatment from a local practitioner. The error yielded slowly, but at the end of two weeks I began preparing for my return trip, against the protests of family and friends.
