I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and the many blessings I have received through the study and application of the truth as revealed therein. I have experienced many healings that prove to me beyond a doubt that Christian Science heals, and that it is God-given.

In 1917, after the passing on of a baby daughter. I became ill and had to lie in bed four or five days at a time, being very weak. During the following nineteen years I was in the hospital six times. I had two major and two minor operations. I had tried all material ways and remedies, but like the woman in the Bible (Mark 5:26), "was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse." I did not know which way to turn, but thought I should pass on.

Then my sister recommended that I try Christian Science, and told me of a Scientist from whom I could get information. At that time I weighed but ninety pounds. I wrote to this woman, and she sent me three copies of the Christian Science Sentinel and told me to get Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I did not know that such a book existed, but sent at once for it. Before it arrived I was healed of constipation just from reading the Sentinel. Before I had read very far in Science and Health I was eating anything I wanted, with no discomfort, whereas before, everything I ate hurt me. I began to gain until I was back to my normal weight.
