Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication
Washington
The press continues to manifest a spirit of friendliness to our Cause. Only one article which required correction appeared during the year among the one hundred and sixty newspapers published in the state. The Committee's corrective letter was courteously accepted and promptly published by the editor of the paper.
An attack on our religion was made by an evangelist over one radio station in the state during the year. A corrective statement, prepared by this Committee, was radiocast three days later from the same station, at the same hour. This incident awakened the station manager, and assurance was given that all religious programs in the future would be carefully scanned before presentation on the air, and that no repetition of such unwarranted censure would be permitted.
