Nancy was to have a party. It was to be in her new playhouse. Sally and Jane were coming, and Harold and Joel were coming too.
Mother made cookies—cookies in the form of rabbits, chickens, eggs, and even ducks. These were all for Nancy's party.
When Mother finished baking, she glanced out of the window and saw Ellen, a little playmate, looking at the playhouse. Mother saw that Ellen wanted to go in to see what Nancy had in it.
