A Morning Prayer
Father,
let me walk today
Close beside You all the way.
Bless my lips, inspire my song,
Should the road seem hard and long.
Teach me love and give me grace,
So that I may learn to face
Each new task with trust and joy,
Know that You my thoughts employ.
This my prayer. Then may I show
All these gifts are mine, and flow
Evermore from You—I know.
