What
a beautiful word is "love," conveying in its spiritual meaning the bounteous benevolence of the Father-Mother, God! Imbued with tenderness, Love is ever pouring forth the richness of its blessings, fortifying the understanding and making pure one's affections.
The
highest purpose to which anyone can aspire is set forth in Jesus' answer to Pilate's question, "Art thou a king then?
Gratitude
may be defined as the spirit of thankfulness that springs spontaneously and joyously from the heart for benefits received.
An
architect or builder planning the construction of a new house usually begins with surveys of the site selected and goes on to drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
What shall I ask for more than has been given—Life, Truth, and Love, the consciousness of heaven.

My testimony is one of grateful acknowledgment of the blessings received during the past nine years through the study and application of Christian Science.
I wish to acknowledge through the pages of the Christian Science Sentinel the healing and corrective power of Truth as revealed to us in the teachings of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, and the inspired writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
Those who know little of the healing power of Christian Science sometimes think it incredible that Science should perform such a healing as the setting of broken bones.
Several years ago, before I began the study of Christian Science.
Twenty-six years ago I attended my first Christian Science service with no thought of becoming a student of this religion, much less a member of the church.
I write this testimony in gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me during the past fifteen years, and with the sincere desire that it will help someone to the understanding that the truth, as revealed to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, heals when it is sincerely applied.
In grateful acknowledgment of the blessings that have come to me through my study of Christian Science, I desire to submit herewith my testimony.
