The testimonies in our periodicals have long been a source of inspiration to me, and I am grateful for the many blessings that have come to me through the healing truth of Christian Science. One outstanding experience I should like to share with those who may be in need of encouragement because of a slow healing. I awakened one morning with a swollen and painful foot and ankle. I asked a practitioner for help, and we turned to God, relying completely upon Him. I did not get much relief that day, but the following morning an incision about an inch and a half long appeared on the bottom of the foot, and it was draining. The pain gradually eased, and what appeared to be a bone felon continued to drain for several weeks before the healing was complete. It was a case of mental surgery, and I shall ever be grateful for the spiritual understanding of the practitioner, and for the spiritual growth I experienced during this time.

My first healing in Science was an instantaneous one of the smoking habit. To me it was wonderful, for I had tried to stop smoking for over three years.

I was also healed of ringworm on my hands. This condition had existed for over two years, and I had used every known material remedy. It would get better, then worse again. When I started reading Science and Health and got my first glimpse of Truth, I destroyed all these material remedies, relied entirely on Christian Science, and in less than two weeks the trouble had cleared up, never to return. I am also grateful to have been healed of ugly traits of character.
