A testimony of mine was published...

A testimony of mine was published in The Christian Science Journal of July, 1929, telling of my early experiences in Christian Science. It is my desire to express again my heartfelt gratitude for the unfoldment of good that has come to me through the years from the study and application of the Science of Christianity. There have been many deep valleys, but these have led on to the mountaintop, from which glimpses of "the holy city"' have been seen. As I look back, some of the healings stand out like beacon lights, and I echo the Psalmist's words (Ps. 118:23), "This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes."

My eldest son, who is farming up in the country, has had many proofs that Love supplies the human need. He has experienced protection, guidance, and progress. Error and limitation have gone down before the truth realized, and "the wide horizon's grander view" has been and is appearing in the experience of another loved one.

When my husband suddenly passed on, I was enfolded in "the everlasting arms" (Dent. 33:27). It was given to me to prove that "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me" (Ps. 23:4). My deepest gratitude goes out to our loving Father-Mother for the marvelous care and protection of my youngest son during his training and nearly ten months in the front line in Italy in the South African Air Force. During the latter time, a lovely spiritual unfoldment came to me, and the sense of omnipresent Love was very near and dear. I feel that these glimpses of reality helped my son to apply his own understanding of Christian Science, and he came through unscathed, enriched by the fruits of deep experiences.
