My gratitude goes out to God

My gratitude goes out to God.

The Navy records at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for October, 1917, show that I was rejected for service because of a serious heart leakage. I then submitted my application to the Army and the Canadians in Chicago and, without knowledge on their part as to the action of the Navy, I was again rejected. I then applied to a heart specialist for treatment, and was told that if I ever walked too fast or ran, I should probably fall dead. Two months later I was taken seriously ill, and after spending eleven weeks in bed and taking thirty doses of medicine a day, I was shipped to Los Angeles as a chronic case of heart trouble and rheumatism.

Shortly after reaching Los Angeles I took up the study of Christian Science and was so completely healed that over a period of fifteen years I bought at least ten life insurance policies, and the last examiner, a heart specialist, told me that he had never listened to a better heart than mine.
