Christian Science first claimed...
Christian Science first claimed my serious attention about twenty years ago when a member of my family had a remarkable healing of a nervous breakdown.
I did not take up the study at that time, however, feeling that the religious needs of the family were being adequately cared for by my wife. Before long, though, I saw the advantage, even the necessity, of doing one's own thinking and praying.
Then began the struggle to overcome the long established habits of smoking and social drinking. The Scriptures say (James 4:3),"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." I am so grateful that I have learned this truth, albeit the hard way. The study required has brought its reward a hundredfold.
