Christians are warned not to forsake the assembling of themselves together. The Lord's day calls them to the worship of their creator. It bids them stop amid the busy routine of life, and take counsel with their heavenly Hither. It calls them to consider seriously the directions in which their lives are moving.... Every Christian knows how necessary these practices are if we would be preserved from spiritual and physical ruin. They who fail in this duty invariably slip into ... careless ways of living....

Christian, what about you on Sunday? Are you using the opportunity it offers for worship, and for strengthening your life in the things of the Spirit? Do you regularly hear His Word, seek the leading of His spirit, and strive in all things to make your life count for the upbuilding of His kingdom among men?
