In gratitude and deep appreciation, I should like to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

Some nine or ten years ago my mother, who had been an invalid for many years, periodically in and out of hospitals, was pronounced incurable by one of the leading doctors in our city, and was given six months to live. She came home virtually to pass on. I was unaware of this, for my mother kept it to herself.

At the end of the given time, however, she was very much alive, though in need of help. Knowing that no doctor could help her, she decided to see a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner lovingly told my mother that if it was possible she should attend church. When I heard this I knew it would fall to my lot to take my mother to church, a task to which I did not look forward because I was antagonistic towards what I thought Christian Science to be. But since I loved my mother very much, and would leave nothing undone to help her, I took her to the first Wednesday evening testimony meeting either of us had ever attended. The reason for my antagonism was that I had been brought up in the Jewish faith.
