Paul said (II Cor. 5:8). "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." I should like to tell of an experience of mine in which I was very willing and glad to be absent from the body and present with my Father-Mother God.

One Tuesday morning as I was removing a large clinker from our stoker, the fine coal and gases ignited, despite the fact that the motor was shut off, and caused an explosion. My face and arms were badly burned, and my eyebrows and the front of my hair were singed.

I came upstairs and asked my husband if he would immediately get in touch with a practitioner, for the pain was toe severe for me to handle alone. I walked up and down the living room repeating "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and declaring the truth that accidents are not real, and that man cannot be impaired, imperiled, or disfigured in any way.
