In the twenty-five years or more that I have been studying Christian Science I have experienced many physical healings and numerous other blessings. For these I have long wanted to express gratitude through the columns of the Christian Science Sentinel, in the hope that I might be able to help someone else to increase his understanding of Truth. One healing stands out in my memory as offering very positive proof of the power of Truth to overcome all inharmony.

A severe case of blood poisoning developed in my foot, caused by a deep wound from a rusty needle. Part of the needle was broken off and remained in the foot several days. I returned from my work one evening greatly alarmed and suffering a good deal of pain. I had been having Christian Science treatment. I realized, however, that my fear must be overcome before I could be healed. I retired and worked more earnestly than before, reasoning that since God is the only power no foreign substance, be it poison, rust, or something else, could have power to harm man. In a very short time the pain ceased and I went to sleep, awaking in the morning perfectly free, with nothing except a small mark to remind me which foot had been affected. The recollection of this healing has often served as a reminder to me that the truth heals when properly applied.

More recently, about a year ago, while I was visiting some relatives who are not students of Christian Science, I was afflicted with partial deafness. This condition had troubled me for eight or ten years. As I seemed to be having more difficulty than usual at this time. I was tempted to feel somewhat chagrined. Again I made a special effort to see more clearly man's perfection as the child of God. I was happy that my relatives were able to observe a complete healing of the condition the next day. And there has never been the slightest return of the trouble.
