I am extremely grateful for the many healings I have experienced in the twenty-five years I have been studying Christian Science. I had the opportunity of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for many years, and the truths learned there have been a constant help in overcoming various erroneous conditions.

At one time I experienced a quick healing of a serious condition of one eye caused by the splashing into it of a poisonous garden spray. I suffered extreme pain and distorted vision for two days. Feeling unable to handle the problem, and fearing permanent injury to the eye, I requested help. When the telephone conversation with the practitioner ended, there was an immediate cessation of pain, and the condition entirely disappeared in an hour or two.

The healing which has been most outstanding to me was one of a badly ruptured eardrum, the result of an accident while I was undergoing swimming training in the Army. The Army doctors expressed much fear of infection, and were doubtful that the wound would heal. Christian Science treatment was requested by long distance telephone, and progress was immediate. The wound stayed clean, and no material remedy of any kind was offered by the doctors. To their surprise the eardrum began to close. Both examining doctors stated that it was amazing, and asserted that there was a one thousand to one chance of a healing. The condition was completely healed within a few weeks, and subsequently I was able to pass several rigid Army physical examinations.
