Guest in a Reading Room

HELEN D. DOOLITTLE

Within this quiet place comes benediction.
Here in communion with omniscient Mind,
All undisturbed in prayerful meditation,
A strengthening of trust in God I find.

Within this room I take of Love's provision,
Find surcease from the pains and cares that bind,
And going forth I pray that I may carry
A measure of my feast to all mankind.
