Blessed Privilege of Church Membership
Many people are joyously realizing what it means to be a member of The Mother Church. To be associated with that Church which is bringing so much of heaven to earth is truly a blessed privilege.
Application for this membership may be made by one who believes in the doctrines of Christian Science presented in its platform and teaching found in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
Twice each year applicants are admitted to membership by The Christian Science Board of Directors (see Manual. Article XIII. Section 2). The next date of admission is May 30, 1947. Applications to be considered on that date must reach the Clerk not later than May 5, 1947. If those who wish to take this step will forward their applications as early as possible rather than wait until near the closing date, it will greatly facilitate the work in the Clerk's Office. Approvers are responsible for the accuracy of the applications and for securing the necessary countersignatures. An Instruction Folder which explains simply and thoroughly all that is required in applying for membership accompanies each application. Please give special attention to the paragraph on page 2 entitled "Form 2."
